People are great -- they really are -- but sometimes, they are not enough. They might be busy when you need them, even though they said they would drop anything for you. They might get annoyed with you or get angry. They can be reliable, but not all the time. I feel like this is the number one reason God created dogs. Here are eight reasons why my dog is my best friend.
1. He is always happy to see me.
Whether I left five minutes ago, or five days ago, my dog is always excited to see me. Heck, he's even excited to see me after I've been in the shower.
2. He always wants to play.
He is always in the mood to play. I never have to wonder if I am going to bother him by trying to have fun with him.
3. He is fantastic at cuddling.
He cuddles better than anyone I know, and he doesn't mind cuddling me. How much better can it get?
4. He protects me, no matter what.
It doesn't matter if it is a big, scary man or a small, scary bug, he makes sure that nothing is going to harm me.
5. He gets excited when I get excited.
I could be freaking out over something as simple as finding a T-shirt I have been looking for. He jumps and gets excited with me and never gets jealous of my excitement.
6. He is loyal to me.
People come and go and continuously stab you in the back, but dogs don't. It doesn't matter if I yelled at my dog for doing something he wasn't supposed to, he still loves me and looks up to me no matter what.
7. He loves to eat as much as I do.
It's hard to find someone that loves food as much as I do, but dogs eat anything you put in front of them.
8. He always makes me happy.
He manages to do all these crazy things that make me happy. He doesn't even realize that he is making me laugh or happy, but he does. He brings joy into my life that no one else can.
