Every student has questions about studying abroad. Where should I go? For how long? Will I love it? And those answers always depend on who you are. But, here are eight questions that every student studying abroad has within the first week of their travels, no matter who they are.
1. Did I bring enough money?
Sure, you can survive, but do you have enough for souvenirs?
2. Who do I buy souvenirs for?
Everyone? No, there's not possibly enough money to go around.
3. Is everyone else this tired?
Jetlag and then right onto every activity in the country? Anyone who isn't tired is pretending.
4. How does anyone figure out the traveling system?
It's day two and the map is pretty much a foreign language.
5. How does anyone not figure out the traveling system?
You're very confident until you get on a train going the opposite way you need to go.
6. Does this class even really count?
Yes, it does. But it's the experience, right?
7. It hasn't been that long, has it?
A day feels like an eternity until suddenly too many have gone by.
8. Can I stay here forever?
Your student visa says no, but your heart says yes.
