Food is the best thing ever. One thing that happens when you grow up is you realize how much food is really out there. Although, some people may not be able to enjoy this, because they are picky eaters. These are the worst parts about having this problem:
1. You're sandwiches are usually small
This is what happens when you got to Chipotle and don't like lettuce, tomato, onion, pico de gallo, beans, guacamole or corn in a burrito. Guess which one is mine.
2. You eat the same things all the time.
You probably have had a turkey sandwich three times this week. With cheese. On a specific type of bread.
3. You can't eat whatever you want.
When you go out, looking at menus is almost pointless. You know that pretty much wherever you go you pick from a short list of foods that you actually enjoy.
4. Healthy eating can be almost impossible.
For people that don't mind the bland taste of veggies, it's not a big deal. But when you are super sensitive with your taste buds and eating a carrot makes you want to vomit, it can be hard to eat green.
5. Eating at other people's houses can be awkward.
Do you want to suffer through the zucchini bread your friend's mom made or starve for that night? You'll probably just go out to Applebee's or something later anyway.
6. You never know what you want to eat.
This may sound ironic because there are only so many things you like, but it's not just about what type of food you like, but what food you want at a certain point in the day based on what you've had in recent meals. Yes it's that complicated.
7. Having to mentally prepare to try new food.
New food is scary. What does it taste like? If it doesn't taste like chicken fingers or fries then there's not a great chance I'll like it. Does kale taste like chicken?
8. People can't believe when you don't like popular foods.
No I don't like bananas. Or ham, carrots, ketchup, barbecue chips, peppers, and lots of other things.
Don't let foodies get you down, love what you eat and eat what you love!
