8 New Trends You Need To Know About

8 New Trends You Need To Know About

Trends come and they go but these few trends have been around and don’t seem to be going anywhere.

1. The Finsta

Yeah you read it right, it's a fake Instagram. All my friends have these things now where they come up with a punny name and make an Instagram account. This is a place to be funny, and make fun of yourself or other friends. Usually they’re private and only your super close friends would follow it because you can’t embarrass yourself in front of people you don't know.

2. The Fun Bun

You know, when you put your hair half up in a bun. This was originally started by a girl who didn't feel like straightening all her hair. A popular hairstyle of today, if you go out about 72% of girls will wear their hair like this.

3. Tucking your sweats into your socks

I believe this originated by someone who didn't want their sweatpants to get wet, but now it has blossomed into a very cool and good looking trend. Making your pants look strikingly similar to Aladdin. After trying this you will never wear your sweatpants any other way.

4. Bodysuits

Bodysuits allow you to wear a scandalous open back/front shirt with no worries. Don’t be fooled, these are NOT bathing suits. Strictly for going out purposes.

5. Venmo

Pay your friends back super quick or request money from a friend. Venmo is being used by a lot of college kids as a quick and easy way to pay a friend back without having to go to an ATM and pay a $3 fee. Venmo allows you to request money as well! (ex. Danielle requested $3 from Emily for “being salty this morning”). No worries though, you can deny requests.

6. The “smash this beer against your head and shotgun it”

If you haven’t heard about or seen this yet, just look it up you will find hundreds of entertaining videos.

7. Posting your snap name on your Insta story

Since Instagram has tried to become Snapchat, its becoming a trend to just post your snap name on your Insta; because why would anyone switch from Snapchat to Insta stories.

8. Chokers

You remember in like 7th grade when chokers were in? Well they’re back and just about everyone has them again. If you want some cool chokers check out @danistrattarts on Instagram.


If you want to follow the trends I suggest you go make a finsta right now, buy a choker and smash a beer can over your head.
