The Harry Potter Series is one of the best selling book series of all time. Although there are no dark wizards trying to take over the world (that we are aware of), the series is still full of wisdom that can help anyone, magical or muggle, live a better life.
1. "Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."
These wise words, spoken by Albus Dumbledore in The Sorcerer's Stone, are a great reminder that a little change of attitude can go a long way.
2. “We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are.”
This is a friendly reminder from Sirius Black, in The Order of the Phoenix. that we can all make the right choices.
3. “Books! And cleverness! There are more important things - friendship and bravery."
Even Hermione Granger knows that there's times you can't find the answer you need in a book.
4. "It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."
Dumbledore was spittin' wisdom left and right throughout the whole series.
5. "If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals."
Thirteen years in Azkaban really gave Sirius Black time to think about what's important in life.
6. "Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure."
The house motto of Ravenclaw serves as a reminder that knowledge is power.
7. "It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies but a great deal more to stand up to your friends."
Dumbledore reminding us again that the best choices are not always the easiest.
8. "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live."
Albus Dumbledore speak for "YOLO". Don't forget to live every once in a while.
