Here are 8 huge events that happened in between the last two times the Chicago Cubs’ won the world series.

1. The invention of TV & Radio

Because where would we be without reality shows and Charlamagne Tha God

2. The PanAm Boeing 747 made its’ first flight from New York to London.

This happened January 21, 1970.

3. Man landed on moon.

Although this is still being debated by some…

4. Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous “I Have A Dream” speech.

Landing him a spot on the list of best public speakers, you could feel the power and strength in his voice.

5. Prohibition was created… then repealed.

Personally, I wonder what would happen if prohibition was brought back.

6. Babe Ruth makes his major league debut in 1914.

Ruth would become one of the greatest baseball players ever- and had a candy bar that no one eats named after him.

7. Bill Clinton, Monica Lewinsky, and The Stain…

Oh, how far we’ve come. Tomorrow is election day so I’m going to go ahead and say “Now, Hillary is ...president.”

8. GIF’s WERE CREATED!

Unbeknownst to many, gifs were actually created in 1987 by Steve Wilhite. Never realized they were so old and yet… we still can’t figure out how to say it correctly.

This year was the first year the Chicago Cubs won the World Series since 1908, hopefully it doesn’t take them this long next time. I’m not even a baseball fan and I wanted them to win.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
