While there are many amazing cartoons currently airing, there are classic cartoons that hold special places in the memories of many viewers. If you haven't seen any of these cartoons, I definitely suggest that you go and give them a watch, and if you have seen them, they are absolutely worth rewatching.
1. "Danny Phantom."
This charming series about a teenager who is half ghost and half human due to an experiment gone wrong started with a simple premise and built off of it. The characters in this show are its strongest point and work well in any new situations the writers threw them into. Characters that may have started off as villains of the week became recurring characters that you couldn't wait to see Danny best once again and Danny himself grew as a character throughout the series. I loved cosplaying as Sam Manson and even my friends who were wary of cartoons fell in love with this unique superhero
2. "Teen Titans."
When there was trouble, you knew who to call: the original Teen Titans series! This series was able to tell all types of stories in compelling ways, whether they be humorous episodes that will actually make you laugh out loud or deep emotional episodes that will tug on your heartstrings. The overarching stories of the series make it hard to stop watching once you've started and look forward to what will happen next. Many people, myself included, consider Raven our favorite superhero because of this series.
3. "Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy."
This show might have been created on a dare, but it has definitely held a jawbreakers sized place in the hearts of fans. Though there are only 12 characters that we see for the majority of the series, the all-star voice cast brought every character to life. The wonderful vivacity of the col-de-sac continues to live on in all the fan comics and fan-fictions that continue to sprout from the series to this day.
4. "Gravity Falls."
Even though this show ended fairly recently, it is certainly well loved and highly theorized about. Filled to the brim with mysteries, easter eggs that got people pixel hunting, and memorable characters, "Gravity Falls" was an all-together fascinating show that has an audience in all ages. This gem proved to many skeptics that modern cartoons could be just as great as the old ones that they remembered and for good reason.
5. "Avatar the Last Airbender" and "Legend of Korra."
An example of world-building at its finest, "Avatar the Last Airbender" and its sequel, "The Legend of Korra", is a classic that many people end up unintentionally binge watching. The beautiful animation complements the many fight scenes and inventive writing allows characters to solve problems in ways that wouldn't have been predicted and keeps the audience engaged. This is the kind of show where re-watching episodes will let you pick up on subtle clues and details that the casual viewer wouldn't have picked up on the first time.
6. "My Life as a Teenage Robot."
7. "Kim Possible."
Kim Possible is one of the most overall well put together cartoons ever, and one of the few to put a strong female role model in the lead. With its catchy theme song, memorable characters, and endearing running gags, it's no wonder that is was given another season even after the show was originally cancelled. I know I'm not the only one who smiles when they hear the Kimmunicator beeps when someone has that set as their ring tone.
8. "Invader Zim."
I'm sure that nobody is surprised with Invader Zim being on this list, but how can you not put this offbeat cartoon on here. This bizarre show about an incompetent alien trying to take over the world with his iconic robot companion is without a doubt one of the most lasting cult classic cartoons, especially considering that it only had one season.
