75 Thoughts You Have While Driving Down I-95 S

A week and a half after the end of the semester, I embarked on my journey back down to Disney World to work for the mouse all summer long. After completing my first Disney College Program without a car, I decided, even though it would be a long drive, my dad and I would make the trip so I could go on adventures around Florida all summer long. After 20.5 long hours in the car, consisting of plenty of Starbucks, country jams, and napping while the other was driving, we made it. As we drove, we realized that driving down I-95 S from New York to Florida is nothing short of interesting. Here are some of the thoughts we had:

1. Okay, we need to leave by 3 am to avoid traffic in D.C.

2. Well, looks like tonight's sleep will be more of a nap then.

3. I already need caffeine.

4. Got to pick up bagels before we hit the road.

5. Thankfully they are open 24 hours.

6. Why isn't Starbucks open yet?!

7. Driving over the bridges is so much nicer with no one on the road.

8. New. Jersey.

9. Gross.

10. But at least the sunrise is pretty!

11. Should have waited to fill up with gas here instead.

12. Okay, two states down.

13. First stop.

14. Maryland is pretty cool, I guess.

15. Okay, Delaware is next. That's a short state.

16. We've driven down before and I've never stayed awake during Delaware, but I'm awake now.

17. Wait, no, my eyes are getting heavy.

18. Oh, hello Washington D.C.

19. I seriously just fell asleep long enough to get through Delaware.

20. Literally for 16 minutes.

21. Oh well, next time.

22. WE LEFT EARLY AND STILL HIT RUSH HOUR.

23. WHERE DID ALL THESE CAR COME FROM?

24. WHY IS THERE NO STARBUCKS TO STOP AT?

25. Welcome to Virginia!

26. Okay, first exit with a Starbucks we are stopping.

27. Wait, this is a long state.

28. I'm over this drive.

29. STARBUCKS.

30. Why is it so far from the exit?!

31. Thank you caffeine gods for giving me life again.

32. Two hours later and we are still in VA.

33. This state is so boring.

34. Where is this rest stop?

35. North Carolina: the state with all of the South of the Boarder billboards.

36. PEDRO.

38. These ads are keeping me entertained.

39. South of the Border aka Sketchville USA.

40. Seriously, I need some Purell.

41. Or a shower.

42. Definitely a shower.

43. All of these souvenirs are dollar store cheap status.

44. Going to buy a shot glass anyway.

45. Got to take the picture with Pedro.

46. Time to get back on the road, that was enough time here.

47. South Carolina: another long and boring state.

48. ARE. WE. THERE. YET.

49. GEORGIAAAAAA.

50. So. Close.

51. Dinner time. YAS.

52. The sunset is pretty

53. Wow, hitting 16 hours...

54. Oh, look! They are selling peaches.

55. And more peaches..

56. And more peaches...

57. Getting close to that Florida Georgia Line.

58. I need to get my music and Snapchat ready.

59. BABY YOU A SONG YOU MAKE ME WANNA ROLL MY WINDOWS DOWN AND CRUISEEEEEEE.

60. Personally, I think I'm hilarious.

61. Actually, I think that was funny. My friends on Snapchat better appreciate it.

62. I waited a long time for that snap.

63. FLORIDAAAAAA.

64. So. Close. Yet. So. Far.

65. Is every road under construction down here?

66. IT IS 9 PM WHY IS THERE TRAFFIC EVERYONE GO HOME PLEASE.

67. Hour 19......

68. Nothing like a welcome to Florida than a random rain shower.

69. Rain rain, go away.

70. Oh my GOD GET ME OUT OF THIS CAR.

71. One. More Hour.

72. Thank you Siri for that update.

73. This is the longest hour of my LIFE.

74. I SPY THE ORLANDO SIGNS.

75. FINALLY, WE HAVE ARRIVED. Okay time for bed.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
