Speaking of summer, one thing comes into my mind—watermelon. However, are you still eating your watermelon in a usual way? This is what I would do with my watermelon!
1. Watermelon juice
Put the watermelon into the fridge until it fully turns cool, chop it and blend the watermelon chunks for juice. The cold watermelon juice would immediately take away the heat of the summer and bring you to a haven of coolness and coziness.
2. Cooled watermelon chunks
Or maybe you shouldn't put the watermelon pieces into the blender, instead, you should replace the blender with a body part. It's more fun to just use your teeth to juice the cooled watermelon chucks.
3. Melon bowl
Watermelon, hami melon and muskmelon, different types of melons, all scooped out with a round spoon and mix them in a large bowl. In this way, you may not get bored of the single color of watermelon, neither will you get sick of the taste of watermelon only.
4. Salad
Get a huge bowl, prepare some small and cooled watermelon chunks and add some raisins and yogurt, you can easily make a watermelon salad. Rather than having a caesar salad in a hot, humid air, I would like to order a bowl of fresh fruit salad!
5. Watermelon smoothie
Ice and watermelon are the best match. Add some ice cubes, maybe some other fruits too. When throwing the watermelon chunks into the blender, you will get a grande watermelon smoothie! The texture of smoothie is definitely different from the watermelon juice and the smoothie is way thicker and cooler. Foodies, be prepared to get your brain freeze!
6. Not enough smoothie? Get a homemade watermelon ice cream!
Get some ice cream modes, pour the watermelon juice into the mode and leave the modes in the fridge for few hours. You get a non-creamy and fresh watermelon ice cream!
7. Watermelon cocktail!
Don’t tell your mom that I told you about this recipe! Because at first she will think I’m luring you to drink alcohol, then she will follow the recipe and not let you try the amazing drink! 1/3 cup of watermelon juice without pulps, 1/3 cup of alcohol (any type of alcohol, personally I prefer vodka) and 1/3 cup of sprite. Pouring the mixture into a large cup with sea salt on the rim of the cup, you got yourself a cool summer drink!
