Career Fair season has arrived, and us students know exactly what that means; time to make a good first impression. What says good first impression better than a perfectly put together business ensemble? College is all about creating your path in life and educating yourself for whatever your future career will be. In addition, you'll probably have to go on several interviews over the course of your time here. Whether you're attending the many career fair's Syracuse has to offer, or a club, and or any sort of job interview, you're going to want to be looking your absolute best. Here are just a few outfit ideas to take into consideration whenever you're getting ready for your next business casual or business formal venture:
1) Unique pencil skirt.
Pencil Skirt's are a classic fashion staple for any business event. Make a statement with this classic piece by picking a pencil skirt with unique details or a fun design.
2) Colorful blazer.
This is the best way to liven up any boring old interview outfit. By picking a blazer in a color that isn't a neutral tone, you'll make yourself stand out, and look that much more stylish than the rest of your competition.
3) Wide-leg trousers.
Trousers with a wider leg at the bottom are all the rage in fashion lately. Show your future employers that you can keep up with the latest trends in addition to being able to keep up in the workplace.
4) Fancy shorts with tights.
This is a great alternative to your normal trousers, especially with all the unseasonably warm weather we've been having so far this Winter. Stay cool, in more ways than one, by pairing your interview look with a fun pair of fancier shorts paired with some tights underneath.
5) Try a cape blazer.
For a slightly more casual but still exceedingly trendy look, try out a cape blazer for the day/night. Cape blazer's are less formal looking than your average blazer's, so try one of these bad boy's out for a slightly more informal event or interview.
6) Leather.
Leather is always a fun way to spice up any outfit, even an interview outfit believe it or not. Whether your pair your looks with some leather pants, or even a leather coated blazer you'll look edgy but still 100 percent put together.
7) Simple heels.
It's always about the shoes if you ask me. Despite how badly I know you want to whip out something extravagant and eye catchy maybe try for a simpler design. A simple pair of nice heels will make your outfit seem so much more fluid and prevent it from looking like you tried too hard.
