Seven Types Of Sorority Sisters You Have

No matter how much anyone wants to compress all sorority girls to fit into a little stereotypical box, EVERY single sister is different in her own unique and wonderful way. Every sorority needs girls with individual talents to mesh and create great things!

1. The "typical" sorority girl.

Her personality is anything but typical. She's a free thinker. She loves monograms on everything, and she is the first one you call to paint a cooler or design a t-shirt. She isn't the most creative one, but she knows what's up on all things Greek.

2. The athletic one.

If they didn't already know she was in a sorority, they would never peg her as one. She doesn't wear makeup on a regular basis, she lives in her gym bag, and she organizes sports games for fun. She's super fun, energetic, and helpful, and you love cheering for her at all intramural games and athletic Greek events.

3. The creative one.

She's so cute. You just want to be her. She might can sing, act, draw, or dance beautifully, or maybe she just knows how to create a scene. She's fun loving and everything she does looks hand-crafted. All the "plain janes" are thankful for her because she designs rush, bid day and homecoming.

4. The one most likely to rule the world.

She is the president of everything. With the many things she is involved in on campus plus having an impressive major, you are surprised you ever even see her. Not only does she lead every organization, she plays a huge role in your sorority and she rocks at it. She is stern when she has to be and she is much like a mom, which makes her great for disciplinary and leadership roles. She does it all and everyone loves her.

5. The party girl.

She's "that" girl. She can legally drink and everyone knows she does. If there is a party, she is there. If a fraternity is having a function, she knows about it. You may be embarrassed at times to be stuck with her, but you really do love her. She keeps you in the loop about parties and drags you to them when you need it the most. Most of the time when she's sober, she's still the life of the party, and she's super helpful at planning functions to the maximum amount of fun!

6. The hipster.

This girl is a flat out hipster. She wears stuff that doesn't match but makes it look cool, and she doesn't care what anyone thinks of her. Her style radiates an era of "cool." She breaks all "sorority laws" and doesn't own a single monogrammed thing. No one understands her, but everyone wants to be her. She's really great at being a helping hand, and can handle anything you give her, and often she's the most service dedicated of them all.

7. The really smart girl.

She's sweet, responsible, and helpful – when you see her. This girl has a 4.0 no doubt, and she earns it by locking herself in her room all day. She doesn't know where the party is at, and she doesn't care. Even though you can't party with her, she makes the best partner for a fun night at home binge watching shows and eating ice cream, of course AFTER she studies. She also makes a great tutor for all the other sisters.

No matter what kind of sister you are, ALL sisters are needed, wanted and loved. Everyone is a little puzzle piece that fits into a big sorority puzzle. Learn to embrace who you are and all the types of sisters that you have. You can learn from every one of them.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
