1. Look for internships/jobs early
At this point of the year, companies usually already have their workers picked out for the summer. If you haven't already looked for a job and you want one, then I suggest you start looking ASAP, or else you'll be stuck at home bored... again.
2. Don't forget about your college friends
A lot of people say high school friends last forever; some actually do. But then you meet your college friends, who you are closer with than your own family. Those are the people who will congregate at your wedding screaming for you. Take the time to go visit them in their home towns so the 3-month gap doesn't feel so empty.
3. Get something done
Don't be the guy/girl who comes back from the summer saying that you didn't do anything this summer. Do something productive. It'll make yourself feel better, and it'll probably make your summer a lot more fun. Unless it's washing dishes… I wouldn't blame you if you pushed that away.
4. Stock up for the next school year
I'm sure all of you would rather have your parents buy our new clothes and cologne/perfume for the year rather than having to buy it yourself. No one wants to pay for anything themselves. It's encoded in human DNA.
5. Do everything that you couldn't do at school
This shouldn't take too long.
6. Don't forget to save some time for family
Family is first. Can't forget that one. Family is always there for you, just like your best friends. The only difference is the amount of money that you spend on them. Whichever that may be. Just don't forget your roots.
7. Rush
Have a great time with it if you are rushing for your house.
