As the year comes to a close, thoughts are flying about what we accomplished and what we have yet to complete. It's exciting to look forward to summer but there's still a few weeks left in the semester and our minds are racing. Here're seven thoughts that might run through your head:
1. I can't believe the school year is almost over.
Where did the all that time go? There's no way it's almost time to move out again, we just got here! That saying about time flies when you're having fun is beyond accurate. Did you use your time wisely?
2. Where am I going to live?
There's always a scramble to get in all the paperwork for roommates and housing selection. Once you've been passed for housing requirements, what building are you going to choose?! Who's going to be your neighbors? It's a stressful yet exciting process. Next year is going to be unreal.
3. Was that paper due today?
It seems like all the professors get together and decide to have all huge projects, papers, and presentations due in the same week. Thank you for having a 15-page paper due on top of a presentation and a group project, just what I needed! Nevertheless, it still gets done in time even though you haven't slept in three nights.
4. Should I skip class?
It's so tempting to not go to class on those sunny days when the temperature is finally above 50 degrees. It's even more tempting because you haven't used your skips and you get two per semester. Use them wisely, you might need to skip to write a paper for a different class or the sun might come out when you least expect it!
5. There's not going to be any room in the library.
The endless work means tons of people heading to the library to finish up assignments. One good thing about that is your entire class is in there working on the paper you have due the next day so you don't feel as guilty about putting it off until the last minute.
6. We're getting so old.
Another year in the books means another year older. I swear I just started college, there's no way it's quickly coming to an end. The real world is fast approaching and I still have no idea what I want to be when I grow up.
7. I can't wait to come back.
The break of summer is much needed from all the school work but as soon as we drive away from campus, we all instantly want to come back. Summer is for working hard to make lots of money so next year can be even more out of control. College is our massive playground full of amazing people and endless resources, why would you ever want to leave that!?
