7 Things You Have to do at Disneyland

The Happiest Place on Earth is the place for great memories. There are so many things you can do, see, eat, smell and experience. While you may not get to all of it in one day, here are some things you have to do while you’re at Disneyland.

Starbucks

Despite being up early to be at Disneyland, you can still get your morning coffee. Yes, I know you can get a Starbucks practically anywhere! But, Disneyland has cute themed cups that your drink comes in, Mickey Ears and all. You can’t miss getting yourself a Starbucks to start your day off.

The Haunted Mansion

Getting spooky early in the day is always fun. The Haunted Mansion is a must when it comes to Disneyland trips. You can’t miss out on the ghosts and mummies in the mansion. And you really can’t miss out on the scary woman at the end telling you to “”Hurry back”. During the holidays, they decorate the wholehouse and it smells like gingerbread inside. Missing out on this ride would be too scary to bear.

Pirates of the Caribbean

Ahoy Maties! From treasure stashes to skeletons to Jack Sparrow himself, this ride is a must. You can’t miss out on the huge pile of gold and the smell of the water. Listening to the story is also part of the fun and seeing all of the ships and cannons going off adds to the fun.

Dole Whips/The Enchanted Tiki Room

Two words. Pineapple. Ice Cream. Well that was three words, but understand that this is the best ice cream ever. It comes in a cute cup and can easily accompany you to The Enchanted Tiki Room. You can watch the birds sing and eat your ice cream to enjoy the show. You’ll really feel like you’re in Hawaii at a luau.

Take a Picture in front of Cinderella’s Castle

Smile big and bright because you’re in front of Cinderella’s Castle. Find the perfect angle and make sure you get the whole castle behind you. You can even get a professional photo taken and have it printed and framed.

Wait in Line for Indiana Jones

Indiana Jones will take you in a wild ride filled with snakes, mummies and a huge boulder surprise. Waiting in line is sound boring and mundane, but that’s also part of the fun. You feel like you’re exploring the cave and you get to watch old exploration videos in black and white.

Watch the Fireworks

The Firework show changed depending on the season. Halloween fireworks are spooky and the Christmas ones are cheery. The one they show year-round includes all of the good Disney movies- I promise.

Here are some suggestions on how to spend your day(s) at Disneyland. Whether you choose to do all of the things listed or just try one, they are all pretty fun experiences. They are classic Disneyland experiences that everyone should try just once. Disneyland, being the happiest place on Earth, might have something to make you happy whether it is on the list or no

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
