If you have thick hair you know that it can be a blessing and a curse. These things you can definitely relate to and if you have any friends that have thick hair share it with them!

1. Hair ties

Hair ties always seem to break no matter how strong the packaging says it is and there's always that sad moment when you only have one hair left and it breaks.

2. Hair everywhere

Somehow you shed all the time and hair ends up being everywhere. In the shower, on your pillow, even in your coffee cup. Even if your hair is in the tightest bun hair ends up being everywhere.

3. It takes forever to dry

Thick hair takes at least 3 hours to dry naturally so you basically have to use a hairdryer unless you want to wait for 3 hours and still have damp hair for the rest of the day.

4. Curling hair

Curling your hair also takes about 3 hours and then the curls don't stay for more than 2 hours and then you wonder why you even curled your hair in the first place.

5. Brushing hair and tangles

Basically your hair is always tangled and it hurts every time you try to brush your hair. You also can't comb your hair until after you've brushed it because you can't just comb your hair it just won't work.

6. Super hot in the summer

No matter where you live if you have thick hair you will be hotter than everyone else just because you have thick hair. You'll think about shaving it and then forget about it once you're in air conditioning.

7. Conditioner

There seems like there is never enough conditioner for your hair and you go through it so quickly you feel like you buy one every week.

If you can relate to these I feel you. Make sure to share to embrace thick hair!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
