It's August, and you know what that means: summer is finally coming to an end. The fact that it's August also means that it's almost fall. For some people, this may be extremely disappointing; no more beach days or summer nights. But for other people, this is exciting! Fall, aka The Best Season Ever, is coming. Here are 7 things people who are excited about fall know to be true.

1. You are actively counting down the days until football season kicks off

With fall comes the start of America's favorite sport: football. Whether you are a college fan, NFL fan, or both, fall means tailgates, games, and watch parties.

2. You can't wait to visit your local cider mill

Fall= cider mill season. You can't wait until the closest cider mill to you opens, so you can grab some cinnamon sugar donuts and apple cider, go on a hay ride, and walk through a corn maze.

3. You already have your Halloween plans set

Fall is home to Halloween, one of the best holidays out there. You already have your costume planned out, know what haunted houses and parties you're going to hit up, and can't wait to snack on all the trick or treating candy.

4. To put up your fall decorations

You are so over summer flowers and decorations and just want to put out your scarecrows already! As soon as pumpkin patches open, you plan on running out to stock up on pumpkins and corn stalks.

5. To show off your killer fall wardrobe

Let's face it: fall is the best season for fashion, and you wear the best outfits in the fall. You can't wait to break out your fall boots, leather jacket, cardigans, and fashion scarves.

6. You are so over summer heat and long for cooler days

80+ degree days? With crazy high humidity? Ew. You can't wait for those 50 and 60 degree days: not too cold, not too hot.

7. When the leaves change color

Fall is one of the prettiest seasons. The oranges, reds, and yellows that cover the trees make for scenic views, no matter where you live. Fall colors seem to light up the world and make it look almost magical.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
