Yes, chocolate is a must-have.

As the crazy, chaotic and exhausting week of finals looms in the not-so-distant future, I find myself mentally going over everything I will need to get through it. For everyone, it can be different things. I personally do not drink coffee, so I will not be craving that. However, I know that a vast majority of college students will probably be drinking quite a lot of coffee during finals to help them. What someone wants can literally be anything from their favorite drink from Starbucks to their go-to study music. Here is a list of some things I think students will be needing during finals; you may find that they help you.

1. Nutella

Nutella is by far one of the best snacks. I got hooked/addicted to it last year and it was love at first sight. I enjoy dipping it with either crackers or pretzels, but ultimately eating it straight is amazing and preferable.

2. Goldfish

Again, Goldfish are one of my favorite snacks. I have loved eating them since I was a child and it is something that you can always fall back on if you're hungry.

3. Hot Chocolate

This is a delightful substitution to coffee whenever you're in the mood for a hot drink. I absolutely love to drink it while I'm studying; it's also a good way to wake me up when I'm starting to fall asleep.

4. Curly Fries

Curly fries are quickly becoming my weak spot. I remember eating them every now and then at Arby's years ago. Now, on campus, I go to this late-night snack shop/restaurant and get them. They are amazing and definitely great study food.

5. Chocolate

Do I even have to explain? Yes, chocolate is also a must-have for finals. Besides it tasting incredibly delicious, eating chocolate is another way you can take a short break from cramming.

6. Puppy Chow

By now, I am sure you have surmised that all the food items on this list are not healthy, which is true. However, finals are only 1 week (thankfully). Yes, puppy chow is another chocolate snack that I adore eating. It is extremely addictive and something you can eat for hours on end if you're not careful.

7. The 'Hamilton' Soundtrack

This is basically a given since I almost exclusively listen to the album, but I have made the discovery that the soundtrack to "Hamilton" makes for phenomenal study music (most of the time). Sometimes I turn it off because I get too into it, but a lot of the time I will be studying in my room while rocking out to the songs.

These are some things that I will without a doubt be needing to get through finals. Whatever it is that you crave or enjoy, I hope that it helps you through the dreaded week of finals. Happy studying!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
