If you're reading this, you have likely been given the title of a "picky eater" throughout your lifetime, or you know one yourself. If you have advanced tastebuds, then you can relate to these struggles. if you're not a picky eater, well, you can have a taste of what it's like to be one.

1. You have your go to foods.

Maybe there are three or four that you rotate, but there is that one you always find yourself having a bit too much.

2. Restaurant menus are, and forever will be, terrifying.

Please inform a picky eater where you'll be going out to eat before you go. Yes, we'll be frantically searching the menu for a simple meal that we enjoy before we arrive. The most horrifying restaurant for a picky eater is an Italian or a fancy restaurant. I understand the Italian atmosphere you're trying to portray here, but it's difficult for me to pick a meal when it's in a different language.

3. The kid's menu is your savior.

If left in the unlucky circumstance of an unknown restaurant, or an Italian restaurant with meals in a different language, I'm left with no choice. Yes, that’s right, the kid's menu. I can’t help that they have simple yet delicious meals. And did I say cheap? You can’t go wrong with a grilled cheese. There's a thrill while ordering from the menu not knowing if they will ask you if you're under 12 or not knowing if they may try and stop you. Being a teenager, I for the most part have survived the “under 12” rule, but I fear that once I have that one stickler waiter, or when I have children of my own, they may start questioning.

4. You always find a way to personalize your order.

This includes ordering a meal and subtracting 90 percent of what is included in it to simplify it. Then you realize you're being a difficult customer and feel bad for the waiter.

5. You put up a fight when asked to try new foods.

Please friends, save yourself the hassle of trying to get me to try that green thing you learned to make on Pinterest. I am all set. Also, yes, I can tell that I won't like that meal just by the looks and the smell.

6. You have your go-to topping.

Every picky eater must have their go to topping; it's crucial in every picky-eater's life. Sometimes we will have no choice in picking our meal. Whether it be at a friend's house, or wherever, you will face a time where you have to eat food you don't like. This is where you grab that go that go-to topping (my personal favorite is ketchup) and you load up until the taste beneath is unrecognizable.

7. Your pickiness with food stresses out the people around you.

Your friends and family consider you a bit high maintenance, and you stress them out while you order. I truly wish my tastebuds liked all foods; I do. I guess they just have good taste.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
