People who run for fun are a special kind of crazy. We obsess over PRs and race results. We drop hundreds, even thousands, of dollars every year just to run in races. It's not just a hobby, it's a lifestyle.
1. You have a massive shoe collection.
You can’t have just one pair of running shoes.
2. You run in all types of weather.
Nothing will stop you from getting your run in: not rain, nor snow, nor wind.
3. You know your PRs by heart.
Just in case anyone is interested in your personal best 5k time. (They aren’t.)
4. Every day is leg day for you.
Working on your arms is more of a problem when all you can bench is the bar.
5. You spend all of your money on races.
It’s worth the price when you get to show off with your race shirt and medal.
6. Your wardrobe is mostly race shirts.
You need to remind everyone how you ran that half-marathon in 2012.
7. All of your non-runner friends think you’re crazy.
Only other runners understand the obsession, so I suggest only being friends with runners (we’re the best kind of friends anyway).
