Us college students have a long winter break ahead, and what better to do than nothing? This semester has been killer, so while we take this month off from life (in reality just school), let's binge watch the best of the best. Below are my six favorite shows that you can watch right now on Netflix.

1. "Stranger Things"

Sci-Fi Horror, 1 Season (2016-present)

As a Netflix Original series, this show is based during the 1980's in Indiana. A local boy goes missing and his mother, Joyce, is willing to do whatever it takes to find her son. While his mother and closest friends are searching for him day and night, the chief of police launches his own investigation. With all of their stories and theories put together, will they be able to find Will or does the government intervene?

2. "Nurse Jackie"

Medical Comedy/Drama, 7 Seasons (2009-2015)

While she's struggling to find a balance between her hectic job at a New York hospital and a wide range of personal problems, this sarcastic and pill-addicted E.R. Nurse strives to give her patients the best care possible. Because she knows the ins and outs of the health care system, nothing can stop her.

3. "Grey's Anatomy"

Medical Drama, 12 Seasons (2005-present)

Honestly, how can I create a summary of this show? Between the drama, witty comments, amazing surgeries and comical situations, I would name this show number one for entertainment. It's no wonder Grey's Anatomy has been on for 10+ years. It's based on a group of interns starting their career out at a teaching hospital in Seattle, Washington. Some will take the challenges as they come, but some won't make it out. Not to mention, the men.

4. "How to Get Away with Murder"

Legal Drama, 2 Seasons (2014-present)

Annalise Keating is a professor of Criminal Law. She chooses a group of her best students to work in her practice and help her solve her cases. As bad ass in the courtroom as she is in the classroom, she defends the worst of criminals and always find a way prove them innocent. The intense cross-examinations and twist and turns of this series are guaranteed to keep you entertained.

5. "One Tree Hill"

Various Genres/Drama, 9 Seasons (2003-2012)

After a four-year jump in time the young adults of the fictional town Tree Hill, North Carolina strive to keep their careers alive and friendships strong. Brothers Nathan and Lucas have been through a lot together and apart while pushing each other through every obstacle and hardship life has thrown them. Plus, they aren't too hard to look at.

Example A:

6. "Shameless"

Comedy-Drama, 6 Seasons (2011-present)

Based in Chicago, this show follows a dysfunctional family of an alcoholic father and a runaway mother. The leader of the pack and oldest daughter, Fiona, tries to help her family cope with their alcoholic dad all while trying to keep her life together and make herself happy. This show represents the crazy that we all are dying to let out.

7. "Orange is the New Black"

Comedy-Drama, 4 Seasons (2013-present)

The story of Piper Chapman, a woman that is sentenced to fifteen months in a Connecticut prison, she pushes her way through by making friends--and some enemies. By following the women of the minimum-security prison, you will see a variety of different personalities. I think what makes this Netflix Original series so special is the depth that comes along with each character.

Tip: Be mentally prepared for season four.

Happy Winter break, college students!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
