7 Reasons You Shouldn't Take Your Mom For Granted

For some reasons, people in their teens think they know more than their mom. They also don't believe their mom ever does anything to help them or benefit them. The give snide remarks when their mom is too involved in their life.

Here are seven reasons, I came up with, why you shouldn't take your mom for granted.

1. She Gave Birth To You

Without your mom, and a little help from dad, you would not be on this planet. Your mom brought you into for a purpose. What the purpose wasn't, was to make your life a living nightmare. You mom loves you unconditionally. Figure out your purpose and thank your mama.

2. She's ALWAYS Been There

Whether you were crabby or sad, your mom was always there to help you. She was your shoulder to cry on when your boyfriend broke your heart. She was the one who made your favorite dinner on your birthday. She was the one who always wanted you safe. Even when you felt alone, your mom was always beside you just in case you might have needed her.

3. She's Going To Die Someday

Yes, this is very harsh, but also very true. Chances are you are going to outlive your mom. You are going to miss all the times she got on your nerves and all the times she made you be home by ten. You will miss her warm hugs and the way she always said, "Be Safe!" before you left the house. You need to thank your mom for all the things she has done and continues to do for you before it's too late.

4. She Does Things For You

I don't know about your mom, but my mom still occasionally does my laundry. She fixes me supper and lunch without complaint. When I was younger, I never thought of it being so hard on my mom. Doing for kids laundry is a lot of work. You should show your appreciation for her when she does these things for you. Even though she doesn't want to do these things sometimes, she does them. Thank your mom! All the time, especially for the smallest of things.

5. She Knows You Better Than You Know Yourself

I would get up every morning and put on clothes. I'd look in the mirror not sure of my outfit. My mom would come in, to check if I was awake. She would always give me the truth about how I looked. Although, I didn't always agree with her opinion, i know she was trying to do what was best for me.

6. She's Unselfish

My mom does so much work around the house and never expects anything in return. She cleans the house all the time. My mom takes care of our two cats and crazy dog. She does most everything she does without anticipating that she will get some special treat. My mom would do anything to make me happy.

7. She loves me

My mom has incredible and non-measurable love for me. She never bats an eye when I need her. She sat through many band performances and always told me how amazing I sounded. She came to all my sports games, even though she didn't quite understand what was going on most of the time. My mom would cross oceans for me and I thank her for it. I hope your mom is the kinda mom would do anything for you at the drop of a hat, and I truly and deeply hope, that you aren't taking that amazing woman for granted!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
