Life would be a little less great without them

There is nothing better in the world than having a best friend. When you are down they pick you up, when you do not know what to wear they help you, and they always laugh at your jokes, well almost always. If you've ever had a best friend then you know it would be the worst thing in the world to lose them. Even when they just go on vacation, you have a countdown until the days they get back. We could never live without our best friends.

1. You wouldn't have anyone to get late night food with

You know when its midnight and you both for some reason are craving Waffle House. Wouldn't it look a little odd to eat 14 pieces of bacon all by yourself?

2. You would have to nap at your house, alone

Lets be honest, when your best friend texts you come over in the middle of the day it's almost always to nap. You're okay with that cause their bed is more comfortable anyway.

3. There would be no one to approve your Instagram captions

We all know the caption makes or breaks an Instagram post. Without a best friend, you'd be posting willy nilly and lets face it you don't need that kind of craziness in your life.

4. You wouldn't have a rap partner

Whether it be Nicki Minaj or Beyonce, there is either going to be a duet or a rap battle going on in the car. Crazy hand gestures and dance moves you didn't even know you could do in a car will be happening.

5. There wouldn't be anyone to always favorite you tweets

Half the stuff you tweet is definitely not worthy of a favorite, but your best friend isn't going to let the tweet flop. You do the same thing for her, so she kinda owes you.

6. You would have never known about Gossip Girl

That's just a tragedy in itself. Your life would never have been complete because come on you really couldn't live without Nate Archibald and Chuch Bass, right?

7. Your life would be extremely boring

There is never a dull moment when you have a best friend. Even when you are sitting around doing nothing, it's a million times better that you have someone sitting by your side. You wouldn't laugh as much, you wouldn't let loose as much, and you probably wouldn't eat as much but that's okay because you love them anyway.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
