I became a fan of Horst Simco, also known as Jody Highroller but better known as Riff Raff just last year. I was skeptical of him and his motives until I started listening to his music, following him on Twitter, and keeping up with his life. After that, I realized I had never been so interested in a person. You may be aware of him, or you may not be, but Riff Raff has a lot to offer, and the guy does not get a lot of credit. Here are a few reasons as to why you too should love Riff Raff if you don't already.

1. He loves animals.

Riff Raff has a husky that he calls Jody Husky. This man loves this dog more than I love donuts, and that is a lot. A guy that loves and cares for animals are something special. He even has a separate Twitter and Instagram for his dog -- that is some dedication -- but the pup is really cute so I can't complain. Check him out @jodyhusky.

2. He wrote a poem book.

If you follow Jody Highroller on Twitter, you already know how insightful he is, so insightful in fact he wrote a poem book. This is the number one thing on my wish list this year, I mean who would not want a collection of inspirational quotes from Riff Raff? If you are not catching his words of wisdom, you are missing out.

3. He is BFF's with Justin Bieber.

Justin teamed up with Riff Raff for a new song on Riff's new album Peach Panther that is supposedly being released in February 2016. Needless to say, I am thrilled because my newfound love for Justin and my appreciation for Riff Raff is strong, and this song will be fire.

4. He doesn't let the haters bring him down.

It is pretty clear that a lot of people do not understand the man, that is understandable. But he does not let these people and the words that are said get to him, he is always quick with a fiery comeback.

5. He dropped out of high school.

Okay, this may not necessarily be the best thing in the world, but he ended up getting his GED. He says he dropped out so he could make money and be successful, and that he has. Some may judge because we see successful people as those who complete school, but who needs college or high school when you are Riff Raff?

6. He is real.

He not only keeps it real, but Riff Raff is real. He came from suburbs from Texas and struggled along the way. From dropping out of high school to only completing one semester of community college, he did not necessarily have it all together until he started killing it in the rap game. It is refreshing to see and hear of entertainers who started from a rough situation and become successful.

7. He eats his meals.

Rapper states that he "eats three meals a day, because if you don't get your proper breakfast you might be playing basketball and catch cramps 'cause you're not in shape enough." Clearly food is a number one priority and who does not love that in a man?

Hopefully, this is enough to maybe change your mind on him, or make you love him even more. Riff Raff is not your average guy, but if you need a new guilty pleasure, he is the one for you.
