7 Reasons Why Fall Needs To Get Here ASAP

If anyone is like me, I prefer cold weather over warm. I personally only like summer for three reasons, we have no school, the sunshine makes me more tan, and I like my nanny job. But that's it. These 87 degree days are killer and I'm in need of the fall time.

1. Duh, cooler weather.

The warmer days need to go. I'm tired of stepping outside and my hair poofing out and beads of sweat falling down my entire body. It's a little annoying when I can't wear face makeup because it'll just sweat off. Lower Alabama heat is inevitable, I know that- but it's mid September and I'd do anything for it to be at least 65 degrees for the whole day. The morning crisp air is such a tease and I'm kinda over it.

2. Cinnamon Pumpkin Spice...EVERYWHERE.

Call me basic but, if you've haven't heard, the PSL (pumpkin spice latte) is out again, and I couldn't be any happier. PSL means the cinnamon pumpkin spice scent will be everywhere in the matter of at least two weeks. Some people (me) have already started with the smell with candles (wax warmers) (me again), perfume, and my personal favorite, baked goods. The combination of cinnamon and pumpkin spice is to kill for especially when straight out of the oven.

3. Tailgate Weather well, football in general.

Tailgates and football go hand in hand. We countdown until game day at my school and we party tailgate when it comes around. Food, friends, and football. It's the recipe for great time and the fall time is the best time to cook it up.

4. Boots, Scarves, & Sweaters.

Fall clothes are the best clothes. My closet is 70% cold clothes vs 30% summer. Sweaters and scarves take over. Fall time is the perfect excuse to walk around bundled up with the "still in my bed" feeling only cuter. The feeling of a flannel with pants and long riding boots is my fav and nothing will change that, so grab your coat and get ready.

5. Leggings (so important they get their own number).

I can not express how much I love leggings. I love them so much they get their own spot on this list. They're a gift from above and I can't imagine life without them. Who needs to wear pants when you have leggings. They're cozy and warm and you can eat as much as you want while in them due to their elasticity. Which is the main reason I wear them. Leggings, you win.

6. Bonfires.

Besides the CPS (see #2) scent, I love the smell of a good bonfire. I know the idea of sitting around fire while it's completely freezing outside, on a practically frozen tailgate does not sound pleasant, but once the fire gets started and all your friends get there, it's one of the most fun ways to spend some quality time with your favorite pals. Stay warm and bring your blanket.

7. The Hollladayz Are Almost Here.

The holidays are my favorite part of the fall time. It's the transition from fall to winter and everything just seems to be better in that time of year. Friends come home from college. Family comes into town. YOU get to go home. It's just the perfect way to end your first semester of college. Holllla.

Fall time is just a much better time so, Mother Nature I'd really love it if you'd work your magic. Please and thank you, CBrad.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
