Summer is my favorite season of the year, but, it is hard to not be excited for fall. Here are seven things to look forward to as Fall starts.
1. Sweater Weather
Listen, Summer is amazing but hot weather is not. I am not going to miss going outside and getting instantly sweaty. Being able to relax outside when the temperature is 50 degrees is something that I look forward to every year.
2. Football
It's ingrained in us from the beginning: the weekend is for football and that is it. Whether it is high school, college, or professional, the weekend is for kicking back with your favorite people and watching some football.
3. The end of the baseball season
Baseball. America's Pasttime. A pastime that lasts for 10 months. Listen, baseball can get very dry at some points, but Fall brings the excitement of the postseason and the World Series. This huge platform gives people the chance to see the greatest professionals at this sport compete at their highest levels to get the ultimate prize. It is really a sight to behold.
4. Halloween
Free candy, enough said.
5. Thanksgiving
This is by far my favorite holiday of the year. Getting to eat a large quantity of food, watch football and you don't have to give people gifts? It's so amazing. It is one of the many things that make me happy to be an American.
6. Beautiful Scenery
Fall can provide some of the most beautiful scenes that anyone could ever wish to see. Here in Virginia, Skyline Drive (pictured) can provide some of the most breathtaking views known to man.
7. All. Things. Pumpkin.
As a Pennsylvania native, I know and love Wawa very well, and the one thing that I will always get excited for was their pumpkin spice muffins and donuts. Starbucks has their classic pumpkin spice latte. Chances are, your favorite place to eat also has a pumpkin-inspired dish to enjoy.
In closing, enjoy these last couple of months before winter comes and ruins the fun. Go enjoy that PSL!
