7 Reasons Why You Should Thank Him For Breaking Your Heart

When you break up with someone it might feel like your world just shattered into a million pieces. Sometimes your'e so far gone that not even an entire tub of Ben and Jerry's can do the trick. Well, that may not be the truth. Yes, breaking up with someone can be very difficult, but there are a few good things that can come from your beak up.

1. He made you realize your self worth.

Ending the relationship helped you realize that he didn't deserve you. Unfortunately, he wasn't the person who could see all of the amazing qualities you possess. Sure it sucks, but it's his loss. One day there will be someone that is going to come along who can't get enough of your quirky laugh or will laugh at all of your jokes even if half of them aren't that funny.

2. He opened your eyes to all of the possibilities.

One good thing that came from the end of your relationship was that he opened your eyes. He helped you realize what you are looking for in a companion, in a relationship, and in life.

3. It was good while it lasted.

Although your relationship might have ended sooner than you would have liked, there was a time when the two of you made each other very happy and that has to be worth something, right? You were able to experience the butterflies in your stomach and you were were able to connect with someone on a level different than you ever thought possible. So, whenever you're feeling sad remember, "It is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all".

4. He gave you hope.

So it sucks he wasn't "the one", but you know what? That means someone better is coming your way which is even more exciting! So enjoy the ride. You have plenty of time to find the right one. So for now stay hopeful, positive, and just live your life. The best is yet to come. Believe that.

5. He made you stronger.

Sure saying goodbye to him wasn't easy and if I had to take a guess, I'm sure you still think about him from time to time. Once you are finally able to close that chapter in your life, you can move on to the next. He made you realize that you are strong and you can do this without him. You have your independence back so take advantage of it!

6. Being single can be fun!

Your college years are supposed to be some of the greatest in your life. Being single means you have nothing holding you back, so live it up! Dance with a boy or go out with your girls. You're free to do whatever you want.

7. It's all about you now.

Without him, you can spend more time focusing on you. Do things that make you happy. Go get your nails done, buy a new outfit and go out with your girls! You are now free to just be your own person. So treat yo' self.

So remember, it's okay to be sad about your breakup. But, do not let it consume you. Though sometimes it feels the complete opposite of this, you will find someone that is going to love and appreciate you for all that you are. Take this breakup and let it empower you. Don't let any guy make you feel that you aren't good enough. And don't forget that the best things often come when you least expect it. Enjoy your college years and when the time is right, your knight in shining armor will come and sweep you off your feet.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
