I have always been an animal person. If you have a pet, I will ask to cuddle with it, love it, spoil it, and maybe even take it home with me! I love all dogs, cats, and other furry beings that walk the earth, especially if they are under the age of 6 months! That being said, I also ADORE the ones that live forever and hold our hearts until they pass away and long after they are gone. My first fur baby, Coby, pronounce Kobe but I couldn't spell when I was 6, was with me for 14 years and I loved him every single minute of his gorgeous German Shepard life!
Now, I am not trying to convince anyway to get a fur baby, just highly recommending it and explaining why I love my baby so much!
Reason #1
Can you say cute? Furry animals are beyond cute. I love that they are obsessively furry and that they unique colourings, birthmarks, and eye colours! Did I mention they are super duper soft?! How can you resist that face?!
Reason #2
Endless entertainment. Whether your silly little one is inspecting new play areas, new sleeping areas, new toys, animals, people, playing in places she knows she shouldn't, or simply just being an explorer who knows her limits; fur babies are so delightful to watch and interact with. My girl knows where she is allowed to go, and where she probably shouldn't. The other day she was perched on top of my door talking to the ceiling fan because she wanted the moth that was sitting on the edge. However, she knew she couldn't make it to the fan and was just telling it how much she hated it!
Reason #3
Curiosity killed the cat? No way! Fur babies are curious because they are just like humans! They want to see the world, or at least the world that they are allowed to see; My baby is an indoor cat. Animals are adventurous and want to be allowed to explore. If you have a fur baby that loves to venture, you have unlimited company for exercising. I loved walked my dogs and always had tremendous amounts of fun with my walk-able fur babies. My cat will not walk with me, but I do get plenty of exercise running after her when she bolts across the house playing fetch with me!
Reason #4
They are a constant friend. Whether you're cooking in the kitchen, laying in the bath, reading a book, doing homework, housework, or laundry; fur babies love you and love to be around you if you love them and treat them right. They are a constant companion and know when to stick by your side.
Reason #5
Which leads me to say that they make perfect emotional supports.
If it weren't for my fur baby, I would have a lot more sleepless nights than I do with her by my side. She constantly knows how to sooth my soul when something has upset me, and she knows that it's okay to lick the tears away because I don't mind and I need her more when I am crying than I need anyone else. She has my back, even though she still fits in my arms.
Reason #6
Cuddles. Cuddles. Cuddles. Nuff said!
Reason #7
I constantly have something to do now. Whether it's taking care of her needs, cuddling her, playing fetch, watching her be a cat, watching her try to be a dog, watching her catch moths, and then get grossed out by the taste. She has my full attention when we hang out, and when I care for her. I know that for me with my depression, having someone or something that is relying on me, makes it a little easier to wake up and actually take care of responsibilities and life.
My fur baby is really a child to me. I love her, I want to be around her, I want to care for her, I want to constantly ensure her safety, and I talk to her constantly, as well as cry around her. My fur baby is important to my life, and I would be devastated to lose her, and will eventually be torn when she gets too old to stay with me. Love your fur babies. Treat them kindly. The world is too cruel to animals, so let them know they have safety with some human.
