Even when Topanga was going through her weird hippie phase and Cory and Shawn thought she came from another planet, Cory still thought it was kinda cool that no matter what, Topanga stayed true to herself. And Topanga loved Cory just the way he was with his curly hair, goofy attitude, inseparable best friend, and all.

Cory and Topanga didn't go without their fair share of spats. When they had issues, they didn't go running, they worked them out. They communicated with each other to solve the problem and come out even stronger in the end.
