There are many reasons why people choose to take a college class over their summer break; anything ranging from catching up to jumping ahead, to having to retake a course. Although there are many advantages of taking one, there are disadvantages as well that may keep people from enrolling outside of the regular school year. Would a summer class be the right choice for you?
Pro: You normally won't have any other classes to worry about like you would with a normal semester.
Con: You will have a lot more free time that you won't want to spend working on that one class.

Con: You may have to take a super hard class instead.
