7 Places That Make The West Side the Best Side

Being at John Carroll University, it helps you realize that the East Side is definitely not like the West Side.

7 Places That Make The West Side the Best Side

Growing up, I've always lived on the West Side of Cleveland and I've always enjoyed the beautiful things that I can't seem to find here on the East Side of Cleveland. Here's just a few reasons why I think the West Side is the Best Side:

1. The West Side Market

When it comes to anything that involves the West Side, it's hard to exclude the famous West Side Market. From the fresh food made daily, to the environment and neighborhood, you can't go wrong with a place that only gives you reasons to smile.

2. Sweet Moses

Sweet Moses has some of the best home-made ice cream and cream soda to drink. Alongside great ice cream and cream soda, you have delicious sandwiches, one of my favorites being bacon, Nutella and peanut butter sandwiches.

3. Crocker Park

For shopping, you can never go wrong by going to Crocker Park. There are plenty of stores, places to eat, even a place to watch movies, or to just hang out. Crocker Park is the place to go if you just have a day to waste away and shop till you drop!

4. Huntington Beach

When the weather is nice out, which can be a rare occasion in Cleveland sometimes, Huntington Beach is beautiful location to go. Walk along the lake, hang out with friends, go swimming or just have a family cookout. There's always a great time waiting for you at this beach.

5. The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

Whether you want to spend a Monday people watching or come any other day to see the animals, the zoo is always a good time. It always puts a smile on people's faces just to see animals you don't see everyday.

6. A Christmas Story House Museum

A Christmas Story House Museum is always a place to go if you want to relive the life of the boy in this famous movie. Never forget, the notorious leg in fishnet lamp in the window.

7. Home

Because no matter, where I am, I know my heart is on the West Side. That is why the West Side, is the best side.
