I watch quite a bit of Netflix. I mean what else is there to do when you're stuck in a college dorm and don't have anything to do? Given the amount of time I have for Netflix, or the amount of time I procrastinate, I have weeded out the good and bad of this glorious site. Here are seven not your average Netflix must see's.

1. "Big Eyes"

Starring Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz, Big Eyes tells the story of a young artist who was taken advantage of by her own husband. Though mainly appealing to artists, this movie can be enjoyed by all.

2. "The Wedding Planner"

The Wedding Planner is a great movie for those looking for a "not your average rom-com". This film features a wedding planner (Jennifer Lopez) who believes that she has finally found the love of her life (Matthew McConaughey) until he turns out to be the groom of one of the weddings she is planning. It is very entertaining to see everything unravel and work itself out.

3. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

This movie is great if you are wanting to watch something light-hearted and carefree. There are a few "iffy scenes" that wouldn't be appropriate for younger viewers, but the movie as a whole is pretty good. Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey each make a bet with their own friends that they will be able to lose a guy/get a girl in ten days. It is quite interesting to see how things fold out for this crazy pair, as they are not aware of each others' bet.

4. Ballet 422

Ballet 422 is a documentary featuring Justin Peck and his journey on creating the 422nd ballet at the New York City Ballet Company. This documentary gives an inside look on what goes in to creating a ballet from scratch, as well as what it entails for the dancers. I am not a dancer, but I thoroughly enjoyed this documentary.

5. Safe Haven

Safe Haven is a great movie to watch if you are in the mood for a thrill, but can't handle a heart attack. Safe haven has some intense/scary scenes, but they are always followed up with some romantic/happy/light hearted scenes. Julianne Hough and Josh Duhamel have a great on screen chemistry, but are in one or two scenes that are not appropriate for younger viewers.

6. Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin Laden

This movie is both informational and entertaining. Though it does have to do with history/government/political issues, it is not so overwhelming where the average person wouldn't be able to understand it. This movie shows the detail that went into the raid of Osama Bin Laden's home.

7. Good Luck Charlie

Good Luck Charlie was a series on Disney channel that left the air a couple of years ago. Lucky for us, there are episodes-galore that appear on Netflix. This series is about a large family simply living their lives. Being that this family consists of babies, a little punk, the goody two shoes, "just your average kid", the "star" of the family, and a "bum", everyone can find some way to relate to this show. This is one of the funniest Disney shows I have seen.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
