Nobody wants to hurt someone that they truly care about, but sometimes they will get pushed to the point where they have to leave. It’s almost impossible to realize the reality of losing someone who made you the happiest person on Earth. You can try as hard as you can, but you can’t force someone to love you.


1. We often take for granted those closest to us.

We always think that the relationships we form will last, but that’s never been guaranteed. Remember to cherish the memories you’ve made and treat them how they deserve to be treated.

2. It takes time to heal, on both ends.

No matter how many times you’ve been hurt, the healing process is always the longest and hardest part about forming any relationship. We all want to guard our hearts and protect ourselves from any pain- and healing will prepare us for the unknown future.

3. Heartbreak will teach you what love really is, and how to love better.

You will learn how to love someone better after they break your heart because you will learn from your mistakes, and want to change your actions that lead to the termination of the relationship.

4. You have to know your worth.

You have to love yourself before you can love anyone else. You deserve to be happy with someone who appreciates you and loves you for who you are. You have to know YOU ARE WORTH IT.

5. You won’t always get what you want.

You have to understand that the best decision for someone else might not be what you hoped for. You humble yourself, and really view things from their perspective.

6. Things will get better with time.

Although everyone says this, it’s the truth. You will grow and learn so much once you have space and time between you two. You’ll think about everything that lead to this point, and how you can better yourself for the future.

7. You have to have faith.

Trust that everything will work out. Even if it feels like the end of the world, you have to be strong. You have to have hope, and you have to be optimistic.
