Lubbock thrives on locally owned restaurants and boutiques, but there are so many shops and so little time (or cash). So here is a list of 7 great locally owned shops to stop by in Lubbock, Texas:

1. Mountain Hideaway

With two locations on 50th and University, Mountain Hideaway is a college kid's dream. Offering large selections in brands like Marmot, Patagonia, Birkenstocks, and ENO hammocks, it has everything needed for campus day to day life or a trip to Palo Duro.

2. Culture Clothing

Down in Tech Terrace by the popular coffee shop J&B is the cutest upscale consignment store. With the slogan of recycled fashion, there's lots to find at Culture Clothing and each trip is an experience.

3. Red Raider Outfitter

With multiple locations all over Lubbock, Red Raider Outfitter is a way of life for most Tech students. There shirts are innovative, cute, and, most importantly, Tech themed. It's a fair statement to say that lots of students' cash is spent here, and it's for good reason too.

4. T.C. Elli's

Down on Broadway sits this cute fashion boutique. With everything from overalls to game day attire, you can find outfits here for sorority events, games, or nights at Wild West. I will note that T.C. Elli's is one of the pricier stores I have listed and the clothes tend to run on the smaller side.

5. Piper

On Slide Road near the mall is Piper, a very popular boutique in the LBK. Here you will find cute sets, rompers, and jewelry. It's also where a lot of out-of-towners will stop by. Plus, they are known for reposting customers' cute Insta pics if tagged.

6. Roots 34

Roots 34 is by Tech and has a style very similar to that of Altar'd State. They have sales regularly, and are fairly priced too, which is a major plus. Most sales are advertised on social media, so if you're a frequent shopper it's nice to follow their Instagram.

7. Route 66 Home Decor

Down on 66th Street, this is the cutest place for decorations, whether it's for dorm life, apartments, or a newly rented house, this place has it all.
