It’s finally October, so naturally, only one thing is on people’s minds—Halloween. Halloween is arguably one of the most fun holidays. You get to dress up, eat lots of candy, and it comes along with all of the greatest Disney Channel movies. With so many people stoked for Halloween, there are only so many costumes, and you are bound to see plenty of these this year, and every year.
1. Cat.
If you’re anything like me, you will plan your costume the day before. Nothing is easier than dressing up like a cat—buy a $5 pair of ears, throw on some eyeliner whiskers, and you’re practically good to go. This is probably why a majority of girls you’ll see this Halloween will be sporting this effortless costume.
2. Football/Baseball/Basketball Player.
This is the boy equivalent to being a cat. Boys, and even some girls, will just throw on a jersey of some sort that they already own and be that player for Halloween. Completely effortless and, hey, you are technically someone else for the night.
3. Angel/Devil.
Girls love to dress up with their friends, and the angel/devil combo is as easy as it can get for a pair of best friends. Even better, the next year, they can just switch and pull it off all over again.
4. Ballerinas/Fairies.
Most girls own a tutu for some reason, whether they were once actually a dancer or acquired it through social themes. Well, throw on a tutu and some glitter, and you could claim to be either one of these.
5. Firemen/Policemen.
Girls love a boy in uniform, so it only makes sense that boys will dress as either of these as a simple but sufficient costume.
6. Superhero.
You can buy various superhero shirts for $5 at Walmart, so throw on a simple t-shirt and you might as well call yourself Superman.
7. Bunny.
Like a cat, a bunny costume requires ears and face makeup. Also like a cat, I’m positive that hundreds of girls this year will sport the bunny look.
Halloween truly is one of best holidays, and even though these costumes are as basic as you can get, they will never get old.
