1. When a customer walks in the door.

Yes, it is your job, but when a customer walks in we all know that it means we have to start working. Thank you for all your business, but sometimes we just need a break. Don't wallk in five minutes before closing. This is not ok!

2. When you check the clock and you are almost out.

That moment of surprise when you thought you had two hours left, but you only have 45 minutes left. That surprise is one of the best things ever.

3. When a customer doesn't believe what you are saying.

I am not going to lie to you. I am here to help you, just trust me on that.

4. When someone high up comes into the store.

Make sure that you are working hard and everything is perfect. Nothing can be messed up in these couple of hours.

5. When a friend walks in

You know that for this customer, you can just be yourself and just be casual. It is a nice break from your retail face.

6. Shipment Day

This day is so overwhelming. There are so many boxes, so many customers, so much to do.

7. Checking the time...

Everyone does this I know it is not only me. Checking the clock every 5 minutes does not make the day go by faster.

However, at the end of the day, I could not imagine working anything but retail. Yeah it stinks sometimes, but there are great moments. Most of all though there are great people. There is nobody I would rather work with and suffer through a long day with than my retail buddies.
