7 Disney Channel Original Movies You Should Rewatch

You're in college, you spend hours on your homework, with your friends, or binge watching Scandal or How I Met Your Mother on Netflix. You probably haven't seen any of the new Disney Channel original shows or movies, even though you've spent countless hours on that channel throughout your elementary and middle school. You can probably recite the lines from the pilot of Hannah Montana or the final episode of Suit Life of Zack and Cody. But you can also never forget the amazing Disney Channel Original Movies. Here is a list of my personal favorite movies that you should totally watch this summer as you're relaxing at home away from school.

1. Camp Rock

No time is better time to watch this masterpiece than during your summer break. You can reminisce your own summer camp experiences or just watch filled with jealously as Demi breaks out of her shell to pursue her passion. This movie is also great for any Jonas Brothers' fans who are just missing the trio go at it. Although Joe is in the spotlight in this one, their group chemistry is unstoppable.

2. The Cheetah Girls

Are you going to be sitting around your house the whole summer, moping and waiting for school to start? If yes, then you should totally sit back and have a 7 hour marathon of the Cheetah Girls movies to experience not only New York City life, but even visit Spain and India while you're at it. These movies are also great for anyone who just misses Raven-Symone in her prime, before her recent questionable decisions and interviews.

3. High School Musical

Let me throw in another movie with several amazing sequels into the list while I'm at it. When one thinks of Disney Channel, one can never forget High School Musical. It was the perfect mix of teen and jazz hands. Sit back and enjoy watching Gabriella bloom into the woman she never knew she was, get your heart broken as Trabriella sing "I Gotta Go My Own Way" before separating, cry your eyes out as the characters graduate finishing an era.

4. Minutemen

This one might not be known by many, but it's definitely one of my favorites. Make yourself feel bad as you watch high school students accomplish scientific breakthroughs that you couldn't even dream of. Heck, you were struggling to pass that chemistry class last semester.

5. Jump In

Now this one is self-explanatory. This movie is arguably the best one when talking about the soundtrack. Corbin Bleu's "Push It" alone makes it a clear standout among the Disney Channel movies. Kick it back as you watch Corbin Bleu overcome his hyper-masculinity and join a double dutch team under the name "Hot Chili Peppers"

6. Kim Possible: A Stitch In Time

The last two movies on the list are slightly different, as they are accompanied with multi-season Disney Channel shows. However, even when judged alone, if you've never seen the shows (but that's probably not the case) these are another two geniuses that the channel has put out. Watch as Kim goes against every single one of her enemies in a battle of time and get back stories of our beloved characters.

7. The Lizzie McGuire Movie

This one is no brainer. If you're an American teen and you haven't seen the movie, I have no idea what went wrong in your life. The final scene alone, when Hilary Duff tells Hilary Duff to go on stage to expose an international pop sensation Paulo for being fraud and then proceeds to sing a duet with Hilary Duff deserves an oscar in my humble opinion. If you find yourself with nothing to do this summer, do yourself a favor and rewatch Lizzie find herself in Rome and have all your teenage dreams come true as Gordo finally gets out of the friend zone.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
