7 Delicious Restaurants You May Not Know In Kennesaw

Listen up, people of Kennesaw! Everyone loves to eat, but sometimes it's hard finding the right place for the perfect meal. There are so many awesome places to eat in our beautiful city, and here are seven delicious restaurants that I've tried recently.

1. Chicken Salad Chick

425 Ernest W Barrett Pkwy

This has been one of my favorite discovers in the last year, since I've lived in Kennesaw. With 15 different flavor combinations and delicious sides, Chicken Salad Chick is the perfect lunch spot for a fresh, light and tasty meal. Go, and try some chicken salad like you've never had it before!

My favorites: Jazzy Julie, a spicy mixture of cayenne pepper, bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.

2. BurgerFi

2844 S Main St.

I recently tried this trendy burger joint in downtown Kennesaw and was super impressed! The burgers are original, the ice cream is super creamy, and there are several different drinks to choose from, including beer and wine, as well as root beer and cream soda. BurgerFi is great for a casual date night or a stuff-your-face outing with friends!

My favorites: The BurgerFi Bacon Cheeseburger with Parmesan + Herb fries with a bottle of rootbeer.

3. Chuy's

585 Ernest W Barrett Pkwy

If it isn't already, Chuy's will become your favorite mexican restaurant on this side of town! When your server brings your chips and salsa, make sure to ask for their creamy jalapeno ranch dip. You might as well ask for two to start with because it's THAT good. Just make sure you're ready to eat it until you hate yourself.

My favorites: The Taco Salad or the Stacked Enchiladas with any of their margaritas.

4. It's Greek to Us!

1355 Church Street Ext

I'm a sucker for a good gyro, and this Mediterranean themed restaurant has the perfect one. I usually order delivery from these guys, but their restaurant has a friendly, fast-paced, Greek atmosphere, so I'd definitely recommend going in for a tasty meal. If you've never tried a gyro before, now is your chance to fall in love.

My favorites: The signature gyro with either French fries or a Greek salad and extra sides of tzatziki suace.

5. Sushi Bites

2500 Cobb Place Ln

Sushi lovers, I'm sure you've already tried this place, but do you know all about their weekly specials? Monday through Friday, they have a lunch buffet, only $9.95, from 11:30 to 2:30. It's absolutely AMAZING. Friday night, they also do $1 sushi night. Make sure to check out their weekly drink specials too!

My favorites: Chicken fried rice with a side of seafood sauce or the spicy salmon roll.

6. Tom + Chee

1200 Ernest W Barrett Pkwy

The perfect combination of grilled cheese sandwiches and creamy tomato soup awaits you here at Tom + Chee. Their specialty, which I've never tried before, is a grilled cheese donut. No joke.

My favorites: Pesto and turkey grilled cheese sandwich with a cup of creamy tomato basil soup.

7. The Nest

2921 Cherokee St. NW

This place is perfect for a late night meal and drink (or two). Their extensive beer and wine menu is something that will keep you coming back every weekend!

My favorites: The smoked chicken egg rolls and house pimento cheese.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
