As someone who spends more time than they should on Netflix, I've done my fair share of binge-watching. If you're looking for something new to watch, here's a list of series that are totally binge-worthy.
1. How I Met Your Mother
This nine season sitcom follows its main character, Ted Mosby, as he tells his children the story of how he met their mother. In a series of flashbacks, we see this group of friends' lives in New York City, as we too, follow the story to find out who the mother is.
2. The Office
The Office is a mockumentary type sitcom that shows the everyday lives of employees of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Starring Steve Carrell as the office manager, we see the office's crazy antics as they try to keep the company in business. Based off the BBC's hit sitcom, "The Office (U.K)."
3. Parks and Recreation
Filmed in the same style as "The Office," this political comedy sitcom takes you through the day-to-day work in the parks and recreation office in Pawnee, Indiana as they try to make their town a better place.
4. Friends
This 90's classic sitcom is known to be one of the most popular television shows of all time according to Time Magazine. The show follows the many adventures of six friends living in New York City as they experience love, family, drama and most importantly, friendship. Although there's different reruns of this show on TV everyday, there's nothing like starting from the beginning and following their stories for ten seasons, from start to finish.
5. Freaks and Geeks
Unfortunately for only one season, this series follows the lives of brother and sister, Lindsay and Sam Weir and their friends as they try to survive high school. This relatable comedy shows viewers some of the honest truths about high school, while also providing humor and entertainment.
6. Skins (U.K.)
On a more serious note, Skins will leave you completely shocked and wanting more and more after each episode finishes. Throughout six seasons, we follow three different generations of U.K. students (one generation every two seasons) as they experience/experiment their way through their last two years of school. The seventh season closes out the series with a time jump into the adult lives of some of our favorite characters from the past seasons.
7. New Girl
Finally, we have the most recent sitcom, New Girl. Although still on the air, you can catch up on the past five seasons of craziness, love and humor as we see Jess Day, played by Zooey Deschanel, starting her new life after breaking up with her boyfriend as she moves into an L.A. loft with three single men she's never met. Season six airs on September 20th on Fox.
