7 (Almost) Fall Y'all Ideas

The time has come, when the leaves change color. Shades of yellow, orange, red and so much more begin to devour the ground. I am not complaining, because this is an absolutely beautiful time of year. There is no denying that we become a bit calmer when fall is near. No more sweating when you first walk outside (kinda). Even though the weather isn't super cool, it is better than the July heat. Fall comes with so many fun activities. Try these out if you are super bored!

Hayrides

Who doesn't love a good hayride during fall? I personally can't go one year without going on at least one hayride. Find a local farm or maybe even a family friend who hosts a hayride fest. While you are riding remember to take in all the sights and colors around you. Have some hot chocolate while you are at it, if it is cold enough outside, of course.

Haunted houses

I am a HUGE advocate for spooky season. I know there has to be multiple haunted houses around you, so no excuse on this one. If you aren't a fan of scary things, no shame we have all been there. Still try it out, maybe you will conquer your fears and have fun doing it!

Corn maze

Most likely wherever you go for a haunted house, a corn maze will be near. So this one is so easy to check off your list. I know it sounds SUPER boring, but you would be surprised. Walking through a corn maze is more fun at night, if you ask me. It falls in with the haunted house category, and gives you an adrenaline rush.

PUMPKIN PATCHHHHH

Went a little crazy with the caps, but for good reasoning. Pumpkins smell and are a hassle, I know I know. Hear me out, if you don't get some type of joy from decorating tons of pumpkins I understand. Maybe carving and painting pumpkins isnā€™t your style, but doesn't mean you shouldnā€™t show them off. Snap some pics of you and the girls or guys, at the pumpkin patch and let the pumpkins capture the essence of fall.

BakeĀ

No, I don't mean bake your face with makeup. I am talking about the real, stove in kitchen, baking. With fall, comes two awesome holidays. Halloween might not be the most known for food, but doesn't mean you can't make some pies just for fun. Popcorn balls, brownies, cupcakes, or anything; pumpkin, cinnamon and of course chocolate flavored.

Festivals

Coachella is over (for this year), but many small towns have some very quirky, festivals of their own. Choose wisely, you might just end up at festival way out of your element of fun. On the bright side there are hundreds of festivals this time of year. Many are for shopaholics who will buy those pumpkin socks and the matching scarf. Definitely not hating, because I am that person. Just look up some new festivals in your town or close by, and even ask a fellow member of your community.

Football football and football

I could never forget about you. Wether you prefer junior high, varsity or college football; go out and support your team of choice. Tailgating is always something fun and entertaining for your weekend plans. Friends, food, football, fun = fall. It only makes sense to put the jersey on and ring your cowbell (or wave your pom-pom). Rooting on a team and staying till the end for a hopeful win is always an incredible feeling. Get out there and make the most of your fall!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast ā€œBirthdayā€ on anyoneā€™s birthday. I knew all of the words to ā€œBack In The U.S.S.Rā€ by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. Iā€™m not someone to ā€œfangirlā€ but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
