1. The fact that my sister, who just got her license, cleaned out the car we now share. It was my car for a year and now it's ours, and Lord knows I never cleaned it. But she has a knack for cleaning and organizing, and when she called me and excitedly told me about how "clean and pretty" she was going to make the car, I was a little skeptical. But now every time I drive, I am greeted by the delightful aroma of a seasonal air freshener. She is the best thing that ever happened to that car.
2. I am thankful year long for the movie Home Alone. I am not exaggerating when I say that I can quote the entire film word for word. I actually don't think there is another movie out there that brings me as much joy as this one does. So, I guess I'm really just thankful for the fact that on any given day, hearing the words "pack my suitcase" or "look what ya did ya little jerk" can put me in a good mood.
3. On the day after the election, I cried and felt like I was going to barf all day long. So two of my lovely friends went to CVS and bought me a Frozen themed card and a little stuffed Minnie dressed as a Christmas elf. Every time I see them, I remember that I have friends who will pick me up when I'm down. Plus, they know that Disney is the way to my heart.
4. I am thankful for tea. All kinds of tea. Herbal tea, black tea, green tea, chai tea- I don't discriminate. One of the best feelings in the world is being able to sit down after a long day and drink a hot cup of tea out of one of my favorite mugs. Pure bliss.
5. The fact that I am not alone in the world is nice. It sounds like I'm making a joke, but I'm not. There are so many people out there who have no one in their corner, or at least who feel that way. I am so glad that I have people who I can count on, and I need to remind myself never to take them for granted.
6. I have this jacket that is really soft and fuzzy on the inside, so it keeps me warm, but it isn't bulky so it's really easy to wear and I don't feel restricted by it. I am thankful for this jacket.
