This past weekend I was on a road trip with some friends. On the itinerary, there was a two hour period dedicated to taking photos. Every minute of this photoshoot was used and over 600 photos were taken. Personally, I love pictures. Everything about them. There were a few there though that could not be more different. Here are the people you might encounter while taking pictures with your friends:
1. The One That Is Always Gonna Be In The Middle.
AKA me. This is the person that just loves pictures. They enjoy the whole process and can find themselves on any end at any time, but most commonly in the center of the lens.
2. The One That Wants To Be Somewhere Else.
This person smiles when they need to, but other than that you’ll catch them on the outside watching. They don’t seem to be entertained though, and watching makes them more irritable. They are probably thinking about being somewhere else… like how they’d rather be at the restaurant that’s next on the itinerary.
3. The One That Wants To Be In Every Picture.
When you look back on the photos, you notice a common theme. There is that one person that is in every. single. one. Even when they are not trying, you bet you will find them in the background. The camera must be attracted to them.
4. The One That Complains The Whole Time.
This person will always find something that is not suitable for their tastes. Whether it’s the weather, the absurd amount of pictures or lack there of, their outfit choice, or their spot in the picture, you are gonna hear about it.
5. The One That Stages Everyone Where They Need To Go.
This person just has an eye for the camera. They can take everyone’s “good side” into account and still make it work. If you are looking for a good group photo, this one’s gotcha.
6. The One That Didn’t Get The Dress Code Memo.
This person obviously did not read the group message. Whether way too casual or way too dressy, they have got the wrong vibe going on. You’ll be able to spot them out of the others. Or maybe not, because we might not let them be in it.
7. The One That Takes The Photos.
I almost forgot this one, because everyone else forgets about him too. This person has so much patience and complies with everyone’s requests, gives you encouraging compliments, and seems to the know your good side by heart. Maybe he should get paid for this.
Although there are people all over the spectrum at a photoshoot, it would not be complete without all of them there. Whether you like the process or not, photos are a great way to document your time with friends and to remind you of some of your favorite memories. Happy picture-taking!
