That time of year has come yet again. When the Discovery Channel dedicates an entire week of programming to those huge menacing fish in the ocean, that have hundreds razor sharp week that can swim faster than most land animals and rip it's prey to shreds. Yes, people love to watch this and learn about these apex predators. Why? There's a lot of different reasons as to why people are fascinated with them. Maybe they really love the ocean and it's vast amount of creatures. Or maybe they're just crazy. But whatever the reason, these people all could probably say that they're obsessed with sharks.

1. You look forward to it months in advance.

It may only be December, but that just means that it's only seven more months away from the most Shark infested, apex predator packed week of the year!

2. You plan your schedule around new episodes.

You can't work Monday night at 8 because there's a new special on Hammerheads that you can't miss. And you'll probably be leaving that pool party early on Friday because there's no chance you're gonna miss the new episode about the deadliest sharks.

3. You read an 'all about sharks' book when you're not watching one of the programs.

If there isn't one of these books on your shelf at home, then you've encountered one in your life and have read the whole thing cover to cover. You know about all the first big shark attacks ever recorded, the inspiration stories for Jaws, the best ways to fend off a shark during an attack. Even how sharks give birth.

4. You take a trip to the beach during the week just to make things interesting.

You just finished watching one of those Air Jaws specials the night before. Or worse, one of those dramatic reenactments where survivors tell their attack stories. But you decide to go to the beach anyway because it's shark week and you think it's cool.

5. You find yourself looking for ways to incorporate sharks in any conversation with people.

You've retained so much knowledge about the Bull shark, and you HAVE to tell someone about it because they're just so cool. Why wouldn't you want to know more about this animal that is has the highest testosterone levels, more than any species on the planet, land or sea, and that even a female bull shark has higher levels than a testosterone-raged male elephant in musth

6. You have a "favorite" shark.

Those that watch Shark Week every year and have been shark enthusiasts for a long time typically have a favorite shark. They like to obsess over them and fiercely defend on why it's the best one out there.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
