6 Back To School Struggles All Students Can Relate To
Huffington Post

Going back to school after a long relaxing summer is always difficult. In honor of school starting up again very soon, here are 6 typical back to school struggles all college students can relate to.

1. Having to wake up early again.

Even if you are a morning person, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you enjoy waking up early. As we start the academic year, unfortunately those days of sleeping until 11am will soon be behind us.

2. Controlling yourself at the Dining Hall.

The reality is….Dining Halls have ALOT of food. Even if most of the food is bad, we still end up eating it anyway. *cough* *cough* dessert. Why? Because it’s so accessible.

3. Going to the Gym to exercise that food off.

Going to the gym is a struggle for many. From all the assignments and club activities, who has time for that? You obviously make time, but its not always as easy as it looks.

4. When you neighbors are being loud and all you want to do is sleep

*loud music blares from the room next door*

When you are desperately trying to get some zzz's but are having trouble because the next door neighbors are being super loud. But you don’t want to tell on them… #thestruggle

5. You have back-to-back homework and tests within the first two weeks.

But I just started school yesterday? You hope that you will slowly be reintroduced to material and assignments, but as soon as the first class starts you are forced to dive right into everything, almost like there was no summer at all.

6. When you want to wash your clothes but the only washers and dryers in your dorm are being used.

Just when you thought you planned wisely by deciding to wash your clothes on a Sunday night, you see that both washers and dyers are already full with other peoples clothes. So much for wearing those favorite pair of pants you have.

Despite these struggles we college students face year to year, it's always a pleasure to start fresh. Happy School Year!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
