6 Reasons Having Your Own Place Is Awesome

No greater sense of freedom occurs than when you are finally able to move out and have your own apartment/home. There are endless reasons why having your own place is better. Whether these reasons include better mental health, freedom to grow into your own identity, or finally feeling like an adult.

Freedom

You make the rules now. You can eat whatever you want. You choose what needs to be done. You choose what is a priority and what isn't. You have the freedom to make your own choices and it feels AMAZING.

Personal Growth

Finally having your own space gives you the luxury to grow. Blossom into a huge flower and become who you want to be. This new space gives you so many opportunities to be able to become who you truly want to be without the opinions of others. Grow into whatever flower you want to be!

Personal Space

Now if you are having a bad day, you don't have to retreat to your room, you can spend your bad day on the couch, in the middle of the kitchen floor with a tub of ice cream. You are able to make the entire space your space!

Finally feeling like an adult

Yes being an adult has its challenges, we have all been told several times about them. But the perspective you are able to take on these challenges is what you choose to. You can choose to be positive and pay your bills and go to class and it is WONDERFUL. Or you can choose to dwell on them. Personally, I am choosing to be positive. After all I've dreamed of my own place, why find negativity in it.

You can stay in pj's all weekend

Giphy

Yes, finally having your own space means you can lounge around and do housework in your PJs without feeling guilty. No guilt here, just unicorns and rainbows in the shape of pants!!

Decorating

It is your space to do whatever you want to with it. If you want a giant hippo in the middle of your living room you can have it. If you want unicorn wallpaper go for it. If you want disco balls as lights go for it. This is your space, decorate it to how you see fit!

Not that our new found freedom comes with any regrets of where we stayed previously whether it be with our parents, in-laws, great aunt, or other family member or friends. But this is such an awesome step into our lives that we cannot help but be excited. So be excited with the new found freedomers. Choose to be positive with them! Choose to meet them were they are emotionally! Having your own place is so exciting. Live with the excitement! Wear those unicorn pajamas all day, eat that tub of ice cream on the kitchen floor, and buy that hippo!

6 Things Owning A Cat Has Taught Me
Liz Abere

Owning a pet can get difficult and expensive. Sometimes, their vet bills cost hundreds of dollars just for one visit. On top of that, pets also need food, a wee wee pad for a dog, a litter box with litter for a cat, toys, and treats. Besides having to spend hundreds of dollars on them, they provide a great companion and are almost always there when you need to talk to someone. For the past six years, I have been the proud owner of my purebred Bengal cat named Spock. Although he's only seven years and four months old, he's taught me so much. Here's a few of the things that he has taught me.

It's fun to see all of the selfies on social media, they are everywhere. I see pictures with pouty lips, duck lips and pucker lips. I see smokey eyes, huge fake lashes and nicely done nose jobs, boob jobs and butt lifts. Women working out in spandex, tiny tops and flip flops. I see tight abs and firm butts, manicured nails and toes, up dos and flowing hair. "Wow", I think to myself," I could apply tons of make-up, spend an hour on my hair, pose all day and not look like that. Maybe I need a longer stick!"

Ancient Roman Kings: 7 Leaders of Early Rome

The names and dates of the reigns of the first four kings, as well as the alternation of Sabin and Latin names, are more legendary than historical. The last three kings, of Etruscan origin, have an existence which seems less uncertain.

It is evident that all this is only a legend although archeology shows us little by little that these kings if they did not exist as the ancient history, describes them, have at least in the very Outlines were real as chief of a shepherd’s tribe.
