With Halloween only a few days a way, here's a list of things that prove why Halloween is the literal BEST holiday ever for a college student.

1. It's sweater weather, y'all. Even here, in Louisiana, the lows are in the 50s and it is freaking awesome.



2. It's finally the time of year where hot beverages are socially acceptable. And sure, a hot cup of coffee in the morning is one thing, but you can finally justify getting that pumpkin spice, hot chocolate, or apple cider you've been craving all year. Treat yo' Self.



3. Parties. If there's one thing a college kid likes, it's a party. And a party with creepy decorations and cute snacks is even better.


4. COSTUMES! There are few things college kids like more than dressing up. We will take any excuse to do so, and we have some pretty crafty ways of pulling together last minute ensembles. It makes us feel like a kid again, but... without the early bed time.


5. Halloween movies. Oh yes. The best cinematic genre known to man. We absolutely cannot get through autumn without binging on classics like Hocus Pocus, Nightmare Before Christmas, Halloweentown, and Beetlejuice (to name a few).


6. Two words. Free. Candy. We couldn't care less where it came from, we're just happy to be in a sugar induced coma, it's a nice switch from our daily coffee buzz. If there is an unattended bowl of candy anywhere on a college campus, it will be demolished in a matter of hours.

For College students, Halloween is the most wonderful time of the year. Well, that is until December starts. ;)
