Summer is in the air, and the one thing that screams summer more than bikinis, beaches and sunshine is the county fair. It comes around every year around the same time, and while it may only seem like a childhood past time, here are six reasons why you should go to your county fair this summer.
1. The food
Everything at fairs is fried and it's amazing. My meal consisted of a deep fried hot dog, a funnel cake, and fried Oreos.
2. The entertainment
You're able to get into all of the shows and concerts by just paying the general admission ticket to get into the fair. I saw Third Eye Blind at my county fair for only $12 literally the day before they drove up to San Francisco to perform at the Outside Lands Music Festival.
3. The rides
I may be basic, but everyone loves a Ferris wheel.
4. It's a good place for a date
Whether it's a first date or a date with your longtime bae, fairs only come around for a minimum time in the summer so it's something fun and refreshing to do.
5. It's a good place to go with friends
The same thing goes with your group of friends.
6. The animals
Fairs always have putting zoos and who wants to miss out on petting a goat?
