6 Reasons To Be Excited For 'American Horror Story'

Fall is upon us, which means several things. Football games, pumpkin patches, pumpkin flavored everything, and colder weather are all in our midst. However, above all everyone's (or should be) favorite series has come back!

After months of torturous waiting, and several off the wall clues about this seasons premise, American Horror Story has finally graced our televisions and our lives once again. Now if you watched the premiere, or have been able to catch up since its premiere date, you know this season is very unique from the others. You may have lost AHS momentum after a few seasons that did not exactly tickle your fancy, which is understandable. However, here are 6 reasons to watch season 6!!

SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED EPISODE ONE

1. They didn't reveal the theme until the premiere.

Unlike previous seasons that have months of trailers and first looks at the upcoming theme, AHS kept this seasons in the dark until the first episode. The theme is extremely unique, as it features an interview based set up as we watch a couple recount their horror story through dramatic retellings.

2. A brand new exciting theme is presented.

Although the idea of cults has been lightly played with in previous seasons, AHS isn't messing around anymore. At the end of the episode we leave our frightened main character standing in a circle of demonic looking people in old fashioned clothes holding- you guessed it- torches. Not to mention a bloodied pig was left on the front porch only about a week of this couple moving in. That just screams cult, which will be an interesting subject to touch on.

3. Paranormal Experiences may appear.

To add some extra horror to this series, it seems that not only will we be seeing a great deal of psychos, but also dealing with ghosts. Which is some scary shit. Did you see Kathy Bates get hit by that car? Walked off like it was nothing. Humans don't do that. You can't just kill a ghost, that does not occur. Sure you can have an exorcism but really when has that done any good? Ghosts are some spooksters that do not stay away. They're always pissed and always looking to freak out the living.

4. "Based off of True Events."

Five words that send a shiver down my spine anytime a horror film starts. Five words that also started off this season of AHS. What the hell do you mean BASED ON TRUE EVENTS? This wasn't created by some Hollywood writers in a coffee shop? Are you kidding me? No, really it's fine. I didn't want to sleep tonight anyway.

5. Queen Gaga is back.

Fans of the show were very sad to hear about Jessica Lange's departure after season 4. She really dominated the series and it wasn't clear which direction the show would go without her. However, Lady Gaga stepped in and as she does, amazed and impressed everyone with her talent. She not only shined like a star in season 5, becoming a quick favorite, she also didn't live in Lange's shadow whatsoever. We haven't met her in the season yet, however when we do we are surely in for a treat.

6. Six is the devils number.

Now this is a no brainer, as everything in AHS happens for a reason and we have recently discovered that all of the seasons are connected in some way. It's also no surprise that promos for this mysterious season were released 6 months, 6 weeks, and 6 days before the premiere. We see what you did there Ryan Murphy. Make this show more unsettling, please.

Happy Watching!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
