Friday you went out with the girls and had a grand time. Saturday you slept in, worked around the house, and spent time with family. Sunday arrived and you worked away your entire day doing a copious amount of homework you procrastinated on until now. The weekend flew by all too quickly, and now the infamous Monday is upon us yet again. Time to return to reality.

1. When your alarm goes off way too soon

Your alarm begins blaring and works its way into your dream. Getting louder and louder until you wake with a startle. Groggily you come to the realization of what day it is and what responsibilities that lie ahead, and often you want to cry. (And sometimes do.)

2. When you hit snooze too many times

Admit it, we're all guilty of this. Every night before I go to bed I set myself multiple alarms due to this habit. 7 a.m. wake up call? I have a 6:55 warning alarm, a 7:05 okay you got an extra five minutes alarm, and a 7:20 now you have to rush alarm. Those of us who experience this frequently; thankfully are professionals at getting ready in a flash.

3. Where's the coffee!?

Sometimes caffeine is a necessity. Rephrase that, caffeine is always a necessity. If you're like me and are often running late, it's helpful to prepare your coffee pot the night before to cut out time valuable time wasted in the morning, simply push a button.

4. When you realize you didn't finish your homework

Happens all too often. You start contemplating reasonable excuses to give your professor in order to gain an extension. My dog ate it...? Most of the time you opt out of that and just crank out some gibberish, hope it's adequate enough to get you half credit, and then arrive 10 minutes late to class.

5. Spilling on yourself

It's inevitable. Coffee, cereal, oatmeal; I've been a victim of all three. This usually results in drying your clothes with a hand dryer at work or school, because you never spill at home where you can easily change. Just in your car of course.

6. Although sometimes Mondays get the best of us, there's no better day to crawl into your comforting bed

It's true, the end of the beginning is here. You made it, and as a prize you climb into bed and forget your responsibilites for a few hours. Despite the frustration of beginning a long week, you should take into consideration that one seventh of your life is spent on a Monday, might as well make the best of it.
