As a much anticipated Christmas present, Spotify added music from the iconic British pop band, The Beatles, to their library on December 24. This move effectively introduced users to some of the most iconic music of all time.
For anyone who hasn’t listened to every Beatles song in the Spotify library, here are a six songs that you should check out that are not included in the Top 5 list on the streaming site.
1. "Revolution"
This rock song provides a glimpse into The Beatle's political views during the late 60's, with the beginning of the Vietnam War and other events at the time inspiring the lyrics of this song.
2. "All My Loving"
This iconic song is from earlier in the band's career, when many of the songs they wrote were love songs. "All My Loving" is one of the better examples of how well the Far Four's voices blended together, especially when the harmony kicks in during the song's second half.
3. "If I Fell"
A much slower song than "Revolution," "If I Fell" is a mellow tune that expresses apprehension that many people feel before deciding to take a leap forward into a relationship.
4. "Help"
This song from the album of the same title is a fairly popular one. It is a step away from the love songs on which the band focused early in its career. If you watch the video above, you can see John Lennon adorably address the crowd as they finish a concert.
5. "A Day In The Life"
This song consists of two each individually written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, that coexist in a captivating piece inspired by the death of Tara Brown, heir to the Guinness fortune and good friend of McCartney and Lennon.
6. "Strawberry Fields Forever"
This song, featured in the Magical Mystery Tour album, is one of the most iconic psychedelic rock songs of that generation. It was incredibly experimental in nature, and was inspired by a park where Lennon used to play when he was a child. This is a good song to listen to when you want to forget about stress for a little while.
