50 Things I Would Rather Do Than Study For Exams Or Do Homework
Hello Nuzzle

As we continue to settle into the new school year, it can be difficult to leave behind our carefree summer attitude in place of constant stress and agony as we struggle to balance our busy class schedule, homework, job, and a social life. As we dive deeper into fall, we get closer to our first exam(s) of the semester. If we're lucky, our exams will be spread out across a couple weeks; if we're unlucky, we'll have a paper due on Monday, two exams on Tuesday, and a third exam on Wednesday.

As we get re-situated with our busy life, it can be difficult to focus on homework and study for exams, especially when there is a whole world of fun outside waiting for us. Every time I try and do my homework or attempt to study for an exam, I think about all of the things I would rather be doing than studying, like:

1. Travel the world

2. Play with my dog

3. Play with my cats

4. Go to the zoo

5. Go shopping

6. Watch "One Tree Hill"

7. Go to a baseball game

8. Play with my dog

9. Watch a movie

10. Drink Starbucks

11. Eat McDonald's

12. Take a walk around the neighborhood

13. Go to the gym

14. Order a pizza

20. Redecorate my room

21. Gossip with my friends are boys and life and boys

22. Watch "Gossip Girl"

23. Straighten my hair

24. Go to a Michigan State football game

25. Write an Odyssey article

26. Go to a concert

27. Go to the park

28. Make my bed

29. Read a book for fun

30. Eat a donut

31. Play with my dog

32. Learn how to bake

33. Start writing my biography

34. Go to the beach

35. Try and persuade myself to study

36. Take a shower

37. Learn how to bake

38. Play with my cats

39. Climb Mount Everest

40. Proctor an exam

41. Learn the square root of pi

42. Eat a whole pie

43. Watch every season of "Grey's Anatomy" (which means I'll never study because the show never ends)

44. Eat a home-cooked meal

45. Read other Odyssey articles

45. Rewatch the 2016 World Series when the Chicago Cubs won for the first time in 108 years

46. Sell all of my possessions and live of the land

47. Lay outside and get a tan

48. Listen to music

49. Go sledding

50. Smile, be carefree, be stress-free, and just enjoy life

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
